Introduction
Welcome to Ledger® Live Desktop! Ledger Live is the official software to manage your Ledger hardware wallet. It allows you to securely buy, swap, send, and receive cryptocurrencies while keeping your assets safe.
System Requirements
Windows 10 or later / macOS 10.13 or later / Linux Ubuntu 18.04 or later
Internet connection for installation and synchronization
Minimum 4GB RAM, 1GB free disk space
Ledger hardware wallet (Nano S, Nano X, or Nano S Plus)
Installation
Follow these steps to install Ledger Live:
Visit the official Ledger website: Download Ledger Live
Select your operating system and download the installer.
Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions.
Once installed, open Ledger Live and allow permissions if prompted.
Setup and Initialization
After installing Ledger Live, you need to set up your Ledger device:
Connect your Ledger device to your computer using the USB cable.
Follow the on-screen instructions to create a new wallet or restore an existing one using your recovery phrase.
Install the Ledger Live companion app for additional features like staking and portfolio overview.
Adding Accounts
Ledger Live supports multiple cryptocurrencies. To add an account:
Open Ledger Live and navigate to Accounts → Add account .
Select the cryptocurrency you want to manage.
Follow the prompts to sync your Ledger device with Ledger Live.
Sending and Receiving Crypto
Ledger Live allows you to securely send and receive funds:
To receive: Click Receive , select the account, and display your wallet address.
To send: Click Send , enter the recipient address and amount, and confirm on your Ledger device.
Safety Tips
Keeping your crypto safe is critical:
Never share your 24-word recovery phrase.
Always verify addresses before sending crypto.
Update Ledger Live and your device firmware regularly.
